SOLD! 1964 Galaxie 500-XL with 1966 Side oiler 427 1964 Galaxie 500-XL. Z code car with 1966 427 side oiler engine. Nice paint, no over spray. All trim had been removed and refurbished or replaced. VERY nice trim. Emblems and fender spears appear to have been replaced with NOS. Quarter panel stars and 427 eagles are new. The trunk trim is all new. The buckets look very good and bright. The rock guards are shot behind the back bumper. Back bumper is solid, with new chrome. Chrome on rear bumper is not top notch but looks very good from 10 feet, wavy up close in spots. Apparently painted everywhere possible on the exterior. Door jams look like original paint. Trunk and hood underneath look like it was painted with the car. Chrome is nice except for some pot metal inside. The front bumper needs to be fixed on the passenger side. Windows will not retract. Either there is a bad relay or blown fuse. Engine pretty clean, needs detailing. You can see the cross bolts mains in two pictures. It has lots of options. Original wheel covers in trunk. Top works well, is serviceable for now, but has some issues. Middle support not attached to top, as there is no listing on the top. Remote trunk release doesn't work. Engine runs well, turns over well and has no obvious issues. Nothing smoking, no bad leaks to speak of. The automatic shifts fine, but is dogging that 427 off the line. The front feels typical 64 Ford. All body lines are nice and straight, I could not find any plastic anywhere. No rust bubbles, no chipped paint to speak of. No door dings. The main thing wrong was the front bumper when it came to cosmetics. Interior looks very nice and maybe original except for carpeting. Seat trim looks great. One seat was missing the little emblem. Door trim looks 8+. It has a re verb unit I believe. I may be mistaken but I see the switch for one. The clock doesn't work, but is there. The handle is missing from the emergency brake lever. The right sun visor bracket is broken. Both visors are there and look great. The top hold downs work and look very good. The top goes up and down fine. The back window is glass and the zipper is not working so they have tie wraps holding it together. For the price, I think the car is well worth. it. It needs a bit of work to make it a great driver that looks 100% going down the road. Call for more information. I have lots of pictures to see. Can be seen by appointment.
