This car was purchased new by my grandparents while my mother was a senior in high school. The next year my parents got married and took their honeymoon in this '64 Galaxie.
I have tinkered with this car since I was big enough to hold a screwdriver. In 1992 I started a frame off restoration. As of 1994 the engine and transmission had been rebuilt. I painted it in 1995. The first time the engine was cranked was in 2009, and in 2014 I finally got around to buffing out my paint job. June of 2015 was my parents 50th anniversary and they were be able to drive it to their celebration. I surprised them with the finished project the day of their celebration.
