An 1898-99 Peoria built Duryea is exhibited at the Library. It is the oldest known vehicle built solely by Charles Duryea. It is the subject, along with Charles Duryea's history, of a web site.
See: http://duryea.ssi.net The library is located on the corner of Monroe & Main, 5 blocks up Main from the Illinois River. It is also located a mere three blocks from Interstate 74, as it passes thru Peoria. There is NO admission fee. Library hours are; 9-9 Mon. thru Thur. 9-6 on Fri., and from Labor Day to Memorial Day, 9-6 on Sat

Wheels O' Time Museum is located about eight miles north of downtown Peoria, Illinois, on North Knoxville (Rt. 40). Look for the steam locomotive in the front yard.
The Museum is open May 1 to October 31, Wednesday through Sunday, from noon to 5 p.m. A nominal fee is charged and special rates for school and tour groups are offered. During our open season group tours may be booked by previous appointment at other than our usual hours. A small gift counter is maintained where souvenirs, postcards, toys, etc. may be purchased.
